"LAW ENFORCEMENT BODIES SHOULD BE GUIDED BY THE LAW"

President’s Spokesperson Victor Soghomonian, in answer to the question if EU statement on arrests in Armenia can be perceived as pressure on law enforcement bodies, mentioned, "Law enforcement bodies in their activities should be guided by the law and be free of any pressure including foreign one".

"The arrested people are not simply opposition representatives; they are people who are charged with criminal offence. None of the European countries’ citizens refuses to accept responsibility for breaking the law even if they are involved in politics", mentioned the President’s Spokesperson, according to Armenpress agency.
