YEAR OF BULGARIAN CULTURE IN ARMENIA By Marietta Makarian, translated by L.H. The Ministries of Culture of the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Bulgaria are carrying out a culture program from May 29 to June 4 within the framework of the Year of Bulgarian Culture in Armenia. Bulgarian well-known national and classic art companies will participate in the program. A photo exhibition under heading "Monasteries and Shrines of Bulgaria" to be held on May 30, at 3.30 p.m., at the House of Architects in Armenia will start the Year of Bulgarian Culture in Armenia. The same day at 7 p.m. a gala concert will be held at Al. Spendiarian Opera and Ballet National Academic Theatre dedicated to the opening of the Year of Bulgarian Culture in Armenia. On May 31, the "Arabesque" ballet group and "Soloists of Sofia" Chamber Orchestra will perform at the Culture House of Dilijan (Tavoush Marz). The same day, "Bistritsi Grannies" national ensemble and "Naiden Kirov" folk dance theatre will perform at Vanadzor House of Culture. On June 1, the "Arabesque" ballet group and "Soloists of Sofia" Chamber Orchestra will give performances at Gyumri State Dramatic Theatre after V. Achemian. The same day "Bistritsi Grannies" national ensemble and "Naiden Kirov" folk dance theatre will perform at the House of Culture in Armavir. On June 2 and 3, at 7 p.m., the four groups will give final performances at H.Paronian State Musical Comedy Theatre in Yerevan. |
