OUTSTANDING VIOLIST PINCHAS ZUKERMAN IN ARMENIA Legendary violist Pinchas Zukerman and his Zukerman Chamber Players ensemble will perform in Armenia, March 4, within the framework of "The Prospects of the 21st" eleventh international festival, under the patronage of the Armenian Ministry of Culture. The ensemble will perform Mozart, Brahms and Bokkerini works. Pinchas Zukerman was born in Tel Aviv, July 16, 1948. He left for the United States and studied at the Juilliard School. He made his New York debut in 1963. Zukerman has recorded over 100 works and has been nominated for 21 Grammy Awards, winning two. With the Zukerman Chamber Players, Zukerman has performed over 40 concerts around the world and recorded two CDs since the ensemble's creation in 2003. Zukerman is on the faculty at the prestigious Manhattan School of Music and is the head and founder of the Zukerman Performance Program at the school. |
