ORANGE IS EXTENDING ITS NETWORK According to the official site of Orange/Armenia, the company continuously extends its network coverage, in order to make its voice and data services available to a range of remote towns and villages, touristic places, as well as strengthening it on national roads. As a result of extension works, customers in Jermuk, Garni, Agarak, Zangezur, Stepanavan and others but also villages in Vayots Dzor, Armavir, Ararat, Aragatsotn regions can now fully benefit from Orange voice and mobile internet. Huge work has been accomplished for the improvement of the coverage on roads, and today the road to Iran, as well as smaller roads connecting villages to the regional centers are now fully covered. In order to extend and strengthen the network, the company is making intensive works, and some 5 new base stations are installed per week in different regions of Armenia. Today Orange covers more than 85% of the Armenian population, and the coverage will reach about 95% by the end of 2010. |
